Exchange your driving license
Should I exchange my driving license?
Foreign citizens residing in Spain, coming from any country belonging to the EU, must renew their driving license from January 19, 2015.

Who is affected?
This will be mandatory for all community residents with legal residence in Spain, obtained on or before January 19, 2013, and who are holders of a driving license with an indefinite validity or greater than 15 years for Group 1 licenses (AM, A1 , A2, A, BY BE), or a term greater than 5 years for Group 2 permits (C1 and BE).
Also mandatory for all legal residents who have expired or expired authorization.
Since 2013, all the countries of the European Union have a single driving license for the 28 Member States, a license that has replaced the more than 110 types of driving authorizations that existed before and that allows driving in all the countries of the European Union.

What should you do?

THE MEDICAL CERTIFICATE OF PSYCHOPHYSICAL FITNESS requested by the DGT can be obtained at our medical center without prior appointment, you just have to bring your NIE or DNI, and its cost is € 38.
The schedule to carry out this procedure in our center is: Monday to Friday, 9:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. and 4:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.
